Senior Production Engineer £40-£45ph Hertfordshire Medical Devices

An Orthopaedic medical device company based in Hertfordshire are looking for a Senior Production Engineer on a contract basis for up to 6 months.

The main purpose of the role is to lead the production Engineering team and provide day to day manufacturing and production engineering support to the companies production system to deliver finished product to the required quality, cost and delivery.

Qualifications, skills and desirable experience:

-Ideally degree qualified with a minimum of 5 years post graduate

- Manufacturing/production engineering experience, gained within a low to medium volume high quality CNC machining and assembly environment.

- Ideally have a background in jig and fixture design, including build and prove out.

System and knowledge

- Experience of working in a Quality Environment

- Ideally experience of working within and implementing lean techniques

- Ideally experience of working with NX CAD and CAM packages (may consider Solidworks or EdgeCam)

- Ideally experience of 5 axis machining of complex surfaces
