Your New role :-
Context Within TSMs Expertise and Design team we are responsible for designing and deploying modern, qualitative, scalable and competitive network services. The Network expertise team is organized in four different domains: WAN, DataCenter, Remote Sites and Network Services.
In the network expertise and design team we are working on a project basis, facing challenging day-to-day and future network and telecom needs. We are translating business requirements into technical architectures and manageable services. Together with other teams we are piloting activities from design to deployment - with attention to the handover to the operational teams prior to bringing the solution into production. As a network expert we are continuously analyzing and optimizing the existing network infrastructure, tools and documentation.
This resource request considers a mission in the DC domain.
The DC domain deals with network projects in the Datacenter area and manages the DC network infrastructure of the different group datacenters.
Description of the mission As DC Network expert you will focus on the following:
Design and deploy network solution on DC perimeter:
- propose solutions to meet business requirements.
- design the solutions with respect to the actual design standards
- work in close cooperation with architects for keeping HLD and LLD aligned
- deploy the solutions in the production network in a controlled way
- perform correct handover to operations
Your Skills and experience :-
Essential Skills :-
Project management tasks (limited)
- coordination of different TSM contributors to get the solutions deployed
- reporting of activities and progress
Sales support (limited)
- contribute to the writing of offers
- assist account managers in customer meetings
Level 3 support
- provide expertise support for complex or critical incidents
Technical skills An advanced profile (CCNP, CCDP level - or equivalent by experience) having 5+ years of experience in technical network business and experienced in the below technologies:
- DC LAN technology (Spanning-tree, Multi-Chassis Etherchannel, VSS, Thrill/Fabric Path, DC interconnect technologies (VPLS, OTV, ...)
- Optical transport: DWDM, Fiber technologies, optical splitters, ...
- Virtualization (vrf, vrf lite)
- A good all-round network knowledge
- Networks: LAN/MAN/WAN technologies, TCP/IP, Ethernet, and architectures (Layered model, Spanning-tree, multicast, QOS, VRF, )
- ROUTING (static, BGP, OSPF, redistribution) - thorough BGP knowledge is a must.
- LAN QoS mechanisms
- Good troubleshooting skills
- experience on Cisco Nexus7000 and Nexus5000 platforms is a must
Design skills:
- Knowledge of Cisco platforms and their design limitations
- Knowledge of scalable network architectures
- Documenting in Microsoft Visio
- Writing of HLD/LLD documents and migration plans
