Communications & Socio-Economic Lead

Location: Southminster, Essex

Working hours: Monday - Friday, Full time

Pay Rate: £20.59 per hour

Contract

Duration: 12 Months

A great opportunity has arisen for a bright, proactive individual to work as a Communications & Socio-Economic Lead within the Nuclear Industry to proactively manage, co-ordinate and deliver communications for the South East sites in the context of the company as a whole. The Communications & Socio-Economic Lead will cover all aspects of internal and external communications, including stakeholder engagement.

Preferred location for the Communications & Socio-Economic Lead role is Essex but it could potentially be Suffolk or Kent. Extensive travel between all three locations is required.

Your Responsibilities will Include:

  • Delivering required communications as agreed with the Head of Business Unit Communications.
  • Ensuring all communications are aligned with appropriate Business Unit and Company key messages and strategies.
  • Managing communication support officers, singularly or in groups.
  • Managing people, performance, systems and processes as agreed with the Head of Business Unit Communications.
  • Providing specialist advice and support to site lead teams on communications, stakeholder engagement and socio-economic issues.
  • Ensuring where required that socio-economic activities for the Business Unit are planned, developed and supported in liaison with colleagues and ensure all socio-economic/corporate responsibility activities are properly recorded.

The successful candidate will possess:

  • Experience of working within a Communications/PR/Media or Marketing environment.
  • Stakeholder management experience.
  • HNC/D, degree or equivalent qualification in Business/Marketing/PR or Media.
  • Membership of relevant professional body.
  • Nuclear experience.
