Manufacturing Engineer
Industry: Pharmaceutical
Location: Cork, Ireland

One of Europe's leading pharmaceutical manufacturers has an immediate opening for a manufacturing Engineer to join their growing company in Ireland. The contract offers a competitive rate and will be offered on a 12 month basis with opportunities for extension.

Suitable candidates will be degree educated within a relevant Mechanical/Manufacturing/Biomedical discipline, and hold the minimum of 5 years relevant experience in the field. Primarily, you will support manufacturing through the continuous development and implementation of projects for compliance, support and cost management, and liaison with external suppliers and other design and manufacturing sites to ensure all goals and targets are being continually achieved

Main Accountabilities:
Supporting the manufacturing operation environment to allow operations to meet its targets
Supporting key metrics and delivering key projects to the value stream
Driving new technology through capacity increases, process improvements, new technology and equipment introductions
Identify capital spend and budget requirements for process improvements.
Highly capable of validation requirements for new equipment introductions/processes/process changes
Responsible for designing and developing new tools and equipment for manufacturing processes
Cost management through taking responsibility for specific cells such as consumable cost, scrap cost and cell efficiency.
Responsible for technical improvements, quality management and accurate reporting on project activities.
Ensure effective closure on Quality System documents (Audit Actions, NCR's, CAPA's, etc)
Support all safety corrective actions and ERGO team actions

Essential Requirements:
* Degree qualified in a relevant Engineering/Science discipline, with 5+ years relevant experience
* Experience in regulated industry, FDA, ISO, etc
* Demonstrated ability in leadership, budgeting and completing projects within a strict timeframe
