Marketing Strategist - Advocacy - Purpose Campaign - UN Sustainable Development Goals - Contract

There is a new role with a global trade body for the telecommunications industry seeking a Marketing Strategist to promote and enhance the work of the organisation by developing engaging marketing content to influence stakeholders within the UN system and the international community. This role is for an advocacy specialist with strong links to the international community, and work with New York-based UN events.

Key Responsibilities:
- Create advocacy marketing briefs and presentations targeted on a international development audience.
- Regular attendance at partner briefings and events, reporting back to the Purpose Campaign team.
- Identify opportunities for senior staff to engage at partner events
- Secure high level engagement opportunities in the lead up to and during the UNGA event
- Develop key messages and opinion pieces around telecoms industry support of UN goals

Essential Experience:
- Strong knowledge of United Nations Sustainable Development Goals, and international development landscape
- Experience developing and driving marketing strategies around engagement with external partners, with success in high profile partnerships
- Must have experience working with international development and government bodies
- Strong social media based marketing experience
- Corporate marketing campaign experience
