Quality Auditor - ISO 9001:2008
A Quality Auditor with ISO 9001:2008 is required to work on an eight month contract with the possibility of extension for our Defence client based in Portsmouth.
This is an 8 month contract with a leading UK Defence Business.
Overview of the Quality Auditor contract role
To undertake audit of the end to end service from an agreed audit programme. Joining a strong team the auditor's responsibilities will include: Auditing: audit planning, auditing and reporting. Verification of the effectiveness of actions take Independent investigations Note: Some facilitation of Corrective Action workshops, root cause analysis can be expected.
The business provides in service support for the customers ships. The scope of business includes: Management and delivery of routine maintenance, upgrade, design services and training support. Manufacture of steel fabrication, pipe and sheet metal work, RFP, joinery and precision machined parts
Key skills required for the Quality Auditor
- Lead Auditor:ISO 9001:2008 (essential),
- ISO 9001:2015 (desirable)
- Working knowledge of Marine environment and Ships classification.
- Working knowledge of all Microsoft packages including advanced knowledge of excel
- Working knowledge of IFS, SAP or equivalent ERP systems
- Working knowledge of process development and management system deployment.
- Working knowledge of CI techniques, facilitation, investigation and RCA.
- Working knowledge of Defence Standards.
- Understanding of Health, Safety & Environment requirements.
The role is based in Portsmouth, Hampshire - commutable from Southampton, Cowes, Isle of Wight, Salisbury, Winchester, Andover, Basingstoke, Guildford, Aldershot, Crawley, Horsham, Brighton, Worthing, Chichester
