A Senior Tech Management and Acceptance Engineer with experience in Qualification, Certification and Requirements is required to work on a six month contract with the possibility of extension for our Defence >client based in Preston
This is a 6 month contract with a leading UK Defence Business.
Overview of the Senior Tech Management and Acceptance Engineer contract role
This job role is for a Senior Technical Management Engineer. The specific focus for this job role will be to support the Qualification, Certification and Requirements Management of the Export Weapon System.
Key skills required for the Senior Tech Management and Acceptance Engineer
- Understand the wider impacts on Safety, Quality, Configuration Management and Support.
- Experience with Qualification and Certification of the Export Weapon System and produce the Export Weapon System DDP's (WS-DDP's).
- Review Change Requests determine if they affect qualification data/evidence or associated documents (WSDDP) and provide feedback to the Change Team.
- Coordinate, manage and update contractual requirements within the DOORS database.
- Day to Day Liaison with the Export Customer.
- Ensure data and metrics are updated and available to support various internal meetings, technical reviews and presentations.
- Provide engineering support during any investigation or improvement activities on the Export Weapon System.
- Ensure that all current Export Weapon System Processes and Procedures are current and update if necessary.
- Provide support when necessary to any on-going or future export campaigns or deliverables.
The role is based in Preston, Lancashire - commutable from Blackpool, Lancaster, Morecambe, Chorley, Leyland, Blackburn, Darwen, Burnley, Skipton, Stockport, Manchester, Warrington, Wigan, Bolton, Bury, Rochdale and Oldham with excellent access from Liverpool and Leeds
