Description

Always wanted to work in a company where you can do what you love while at the same time bring an entire team, product and international organization to the next level?

With the acquisition of a new client, one of my most prestigious clients is now setting up a whole new team based on Rockwell, as opposed to the already existing Siemens team. Intrigued?

Please consider applying and read through the project description below.

About the company

Based in the Utrecht Region, they're one of the biggest Industrial Automation companies in the world and the biggest in Europe, originating from and with their HQ in The Netherlands. Existing for over ten years now and continuously growing, they now have the concrete ambition to aim for the number one spot worldwide. In order to get there, they have acquired multiple new projects and engaged in a partnership with one of the leading companies in medical devices and prosthetics worldwide.

Since their new partnerships required them to set up a new Rockwell/Allen Bradley team, next to their own Siemens based team, they have until now mainly used the available knowledge in-house and the expertise of a fixed team of externals (now working their fulltime). However, in order to keep growing and obtain more projects, they need to build their own team. Currently they are restricted by the lack of capacity, but the roadmap is overflowing with incredibly interesting projects. And that's where you come in.

As an organization, their core business is focussed on every aspect of industrial automation across the globe. Machines from all over the world in different sectors are operated by the modules from this company, making them one of the biggest players in the world in their niche.

About the project

For their new partner, the projects they are now working on are focussed on manufacturing, CMM, and cutting systems for medical devices and prosthetics. As you can imagine, this requires machinery that can manufacture products on a very personal level with high endurance and durability, and massive scalability.
As a member of a project team, you will have a very diverse role. Main responsibilities include the writing functional and/or technical software design specifications on an architectural level. Examples include a functional requirement specification of a machine or a part thereof, the development of software modules based on a detailed software design, module testing and Integration testing, and the onboarding/commissioning and installation at end clients.

Furthermore, all of this is whilst working in an international environment, since clients are international and the company itself contains over 6+ different nationalities. Despite the fact they are part of a worldwide organization employing just over 40 people in The Netherlands, they are still renowned for their 'gezelligheid' and enthusiasm in the office, informal atmosphere, and great team spirit.

The ideal profile for this Architect would look like this:

-Extensive experience as a PLC project engineer
-Extensive experience with RSLogix 5000/Allen Bradley/Rockwell
-Good working knowledge of FT View SE
-Demonstrable experience with writing software design specifications
-Knowledge of the Machinery Directive and associated standards (EN 292-1, EN 292-2)
-Familiarity with IEC
-Fluency in English

They offer a very competitive rate and start-date would be May/June 2016.

Could this be something for you? Candidates whom are interested or want to learn more about the role or position, can send an e-mail with their CV (in word-format) to Christiaan de Wit at (see below)
