Description
We are looking for a Senior Electronic Engineer with at least 10 years` experience in Analogue and Digital electronics design. Must be capable of carrying out complex Electronic designs with the minimum of supervision. The suitable candidate must be a strong communicator to help the team realise complex board and circuit designs.
Role and responsibilities:
* Design and develop analogue and digital hardware.
* Embedded Microcontroller hardware and software design using C and Assembler
* Component selection and evaluation
* The use of schematic entry and PCB layout tools to implement board designs.
* Good team player
* Excellent communications skills
* Should be able to work well individually with minimum supervision
* Help with Product definition and design architecture/specification
* Preparing requirements capture, design implementation and test plan documentation
* Interfacing with contractors on designs ie Electronic, PCB, Mechanical, Test equipment.
* Providing technical assistance to production, test and service departments
Qualifications and Experience:
* At least 10 years of hardware design experience designing Analogue and Digital circuits.
* Schematic capture and PCB layout using CAD tools eg Altium,
* Design for manufacture, design for test experience
* Bespoke product design using Embedded 8, 16, 32-bit Microcontrollers, DSPs, FPGAs
* High speed board design and layout techniques desirable
* Analogue and digital audio circuit design
* Experience of EMC and Environmental standards and testing (E Mark, EN50155, CE)
* Be able to develop hardware for cost sensitive products
* Degree in Electronics, Physics or related subject, other qualifications considered subject to experience.
