SAP Purchasing EDI Analyst

Eden Prairie, MN

Contract

The SAP Purchasing EDI Analyst will be responsible for working on the OpenText EDI project team. In this role, you will be responsible for making necessary SAP ECC configuration and other changes to connect MTS's SAP ECC system with OpenText for EDI transactions. You will be performing unit and regression testing, providing training and creating documentation, and acting as IT Project Manager, working with the business team PM.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Lead and support the planning, design and implementation of SAP EDI transactions with OpenText including:
    • Requirements Gathering
    • Fit/gap analysis
    • RICFW Management
    • Functional Specification(s) for development if needed
    • Creation of customer acceptance test plan in conjunction with our business team
    • Setup and configuration of trading partner profile
    • Creation of Map documentation package
    • Creation of Test data
    • Custom map approval package
    • Configuration documentation
    • Work with SAP PI resource for mapping/translation
  • Understand SAP business system requirements, documenting appropriately to work with OpenText, and answer questions about the application formats and content as they arise during the design and development phases of the project.
  • Organize effective task and steering teams to address complex and cross-functional project requirements, issues and objectives.

Basic Qualifications: 

  • 5+ years overall SAP experience with 3+ years of experience with Purchasing.
  • SAP IDOC experience required.

Additional Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Technology or equivalent work experience.
  • EDI background strongly preferred.
  • Strongly prefer knowledge of additional SAP modules.
  • Experience with system and process modelling and design tools.
  • Strong relationship, interpersonal, communication and business process skills.
  • Demonstrated planning and coordination skills with development initiatives.
  • Demonstrated project management experience.
  • Proven ability to achieve success without direct organizational authority functional lines.
