Description
Communications Officer, Communication Lead, Communication Manager, SC Cleared, SC Clearance, Security Cleared,A Communications Officer is required to assist with the establishment and delivery of the Programme's communications function, working within the Programme Management Office. The Communications Officer, reporting to the Programme's Senior Communications Officer will need to provide the experience and skills required to support this function and ensure successful delivery of agreed stakeholder engagement and communications planning and associated activity.
Clearance: SC Clearance
SC clearance is essential for this opportunity. All applicants must either have current SC clearance or be able to obtain it.
Due to the urgent start date for this vacancy candidates who hold current SC clearance or who have held it in the past will have a distinct advantage.
Key Skills
- Assist the Communication Lead's responsibility for the design and delivery of Programme stakeholder engagement and communications and to drive engagement across key audience groups
- Develop communication plans for all change and project activity and ensure overall messaging plan is kept up to date with current messages
- To assist the Communication Lead identify and deliver engagement and change communications across multiple stakeholder groups within the Programme's stakeholder community in order to support vision, strategic goals, objectives and develop Programme messaging
- Create compelling communications across a range of online and offline media
- The ability to translate technical and complex business information into accessible, informative and easy to understand messages which promotes colleague engagement
- Support the development of communication channels and promote effective two way feedback
- To work collaboratively with the national and regional communication teams, across the national CT HQ function and wider policing, acting as a change and communications ambassador to ensure successful programme outcomes
- Deliver high quality communications often working to tight timescales and conflicting demands and priorities
