Description

GameRant.com is looking for great, and prolific, writers for EVENINGS (Pacific Standard Time/PST) and WEEKENDS.

GameRant.com is on a major growth track in the video game niche - come be a part of our success!

Our video game writers are both players and discerning fans of all genres of video games. You should be able to write in the range of 30+ posts per month about the latest game news. Please do NOT apply if you think you can only contribute 15 or less posts per month. If you apply saying 30/month is no problem and end up not living up to anything near that, you will not be around long.

Please do not apply if you are a generic "SEO writer."

Topics will include:

- New game announcements
- New video game features and content
- Game Strategy Guides
- Game Studio news (closures, departures, hirings)
- Screenshots
- New game trailers

Knowledge of online post promotion is a plus. Knowledge of Wordpress a plus. Knowledge of image editing (e.g. Photoshop) a must. This is a paid position. You won't get full time income from this but it's good part time pay doing something you love with hundreds of thousands of people reading what you have to say every month.

If you are talented and dedicated, there IS a path to full time.

If you submit writing samples with spelling and/or grammatical errors you won't hear back from us. We are looking for writers who are prolific, talented, professional in their approach to writing and detail oriented. Posts will range from 450 words and on up.

We pay per post and do profit sharing based on how much traffic your posts generate. We have a great bunch of writers and are looking to add some more excellent writers to our tight-knit crew.

Please surf around GameRant.com to get a feel for how we cover news, and send two writing samples related to a recent topic as you think it would appear on the site. We cover the news with an editorial slant and a magazine writing style.

Also if you have links to your online writing experience, send us 2 or 3 links.

In addition please include the game genres or franchises you are most familiar with or prefer.
