Description

Lumina is looking for talented and experienced freelance project managers to manage projects in a content development program. Projects will range from very simple to very complex, with different requirements and tasks needed based on the product and workflow needs.

This is a fully remote position, with relatively flexible hours (though at least some availability between 9:00am-5:00pm EST will be needed). Rates vary depending on project complexity. Projects will include management of a core title and all of its ancillary/supplemental material. PM responsibilities for typical projects may include:

-Work with author, Lumina, and publisher to develop master schedule outlining all stages from writing and content reviews, while ensuring sufficient time remains for the production process.
-Coordinate with rights and permissions team to ensure all permissionable content is addressed.
-Work within Lumina and publisher systems to traffic/monitor work, schedules, and specs.
-Manage editors or writers to assist in content creation/revision as needed.
-Oversee design process and routing.
-Complete various project documentation/paperwork, including preparing art logs.
-Review all content submitted to ensure accuracy and completeness to deliver for production process.
-Review material while in production such as copyedited manuscript and page proofs.
-Manage supplemental/ancillary product development and creation.
-Work with publisher contact--sending weekly status reports, attending status meetings, and/or being available for phone calls should questions/issues arise.
-Ensure overall timeliness and quality of all deliverables.
