Description

Perm, direct hire opening for a Senior level IT Business Requirements Engineer Analyst to work on-site supporting our IT Activity Support testing Contract.

The contract has several ongoing and new system development efforts. This person will also be responsible for understanding business and technical requirements for systems development and testing. The individual will work in partnership with our Team and customers to analyze, verify and validate, manage business/functional/technical requirements and supporting requirements documentation including storage.

The ideal candidate has a strong Systems and Business Analysis background and will support our customers' review and validation of high level stakeholder requirements being submitted by business offices for future development by the Government's Systems Development and Integration Contractors, as well as, the review and validation of lower-level system requirements developed by project teams and development contractors.

Position Requirements:

  • Must have a proven track record of working closely with customers/stakeholders; STRONG written communication skills and experience working in a team environment
  • Experience with Requirements Management Tools with solid expertise with HP's Application Lifecycle Management (ALM) tool in areas such as configuration, user account management, providing training, generating reports, ensuring traceability throughout the project life cycle (ie, requirements mapping to design and testing artifacts), and managing project-related requirements artifacts within the tool
  • Strong analysis skills, including experience analysing functional and technical requirements, and providing detailed reviews and recommendations
  • Additional familiarity with IEEE guidance for Systems and Software SDLC - Requirements Engineering (ISO/IEC/IEEE 2012: 26515) as well as Agile-Scrum is highly desirable.
  • Proficient with workflow analysis and documentation, including As-Is' and To-Be' processes
  • Strong communications skills and attention to details, and ability to produce quality written deliverables is key.

Tools & Technologies

Ideal candidate will have extensive demonstrable experience using one or more Enterprise Level tools covering the entire development life cycle including Requirements Management, with associated integration with quality planning, software testing management, business process testing, defect management and release and cycle management components, such as:

  • Must be very familiar with ALM. This is main Requirements tool at customer site.
  • Other tools experience are nice to have but not required, including Quality Center (QC), Mercury, WinRunner, Quick Test Professional (QTP), LoadRunner, etc.
  • IBM's Rational Tool Suite (RTC) including associated components such as Requisite Pro, DOORS, Jazz, ClearQuest, Functional Tester, etc.
  • JIRA
  • MS Visio and MS PowerPoint
