Description
Aptara Corporation seeks an experienced, full-time high school geometry editor to join our client's core editorial team and help lead the development of a new print and digital high school math program. The successful candidate will have the following qualifications:- at least five years of experience as a geometry editor for a major educational publisher and/or developer,
- expertise in high school math textbook content and pedagogy, all phases of development,
- familiarity with textbook ancillaries such as assessments and teacher resources, and
- the ability to edit manuscript and provide feedback for content creators under aggressive schedule demands.
Basic Qualifications:
- Undergraduate degree in math and minimum of five years' editing experience in high school math educational publishing.
- Thorough knowledge of print development and publishing procedures.
- Facility with on-screen editing of manuscript and proofs for print products.
- Proven ability to manage multiple assignments simultaneously and meet deadlines.
- Interpersonal skills for collaborating with content developers and colleagues.
- Ability to work independently and establish priorities to achieve the overall goals of the project.
- Geometry teaching experience is preferred.
This full-time, term-of-project position begins immediately and is estimated to last through December 2016. Position paid on salary basis. Benefits are included.
