For a 6 months project at our banking client's site in Zurich, we are looking for an experienced

Quality Assurance & Test Management Lead ( 3772)

The Quality Assurance Lead (incl. Test Manager lead) will have overall responsibility for aspects such as test strategy, test planning, estimation, management and coordination of testing on all test levels, traceability to requirements (in-scope), analysis of requirements, ensuring adequate test coverage by test teams, ensuring execution, defect management, transparency of project risks resulting from test efforts, status reporting (testing) and management dashboards (e.g. enable frequent test status meetings) and formal test documentation e.g. test reports for productive releases.

You offer:
  • Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or closely related field
  • Minimum 5-10 years' experience as lead in QA / Testing
  • ISTQB certification "Certified Tester" Foundation or Advanced level
  • Proven track record in test management, and lead of test teams
  • Strong understanding of test management and delivery lifecycle methodologies
  • Experience in engaging with business and management stakeholders
  • Technical test tool skills (e.g. HP ALM Quality Center, UFT/QTP, JIRA, etc.)
  • Proven test management experience in the Banking industry is essential
  • Experience working in environments as part of a team supporting or engineering Windows client deployments is a plus
  • Strong technical knowledge of Windows Client Environment and of integrating Clients systems with other core Infrastructure components is a plus
  • Leadership Skills, strong interpersonal, oral and written communication skills, be extremely self-motivated, be able to work with minimal guidance and have the ability to own problems through to resolution. Ability to collaborate across a diverse global team
  • Understanding of regulatory environment and requirements
  • Good knowledge of Windows Operating Systems (focus Windows 10)


About the role:
  • Create overall test strategy for the engineered Windows 10 build product and lead the other roles in the project
  • Assign responsibilities in the project and BAU testing team for implementing testing activities (e.g. assign responsibility on test case design and/or test data preparation to lead test engineer)
  • Ensure implementation of traceability from requirement to (operational) acceptance during the product delivery lifecycle of the Windows 10 build product
  • Develop test plans per each Windows 10 release
  • Responsible for any other test deliverables to ensure in-line with current standard processes and methods of our client
  • Manage and drive the preparation and execution of tests together with responsible teams
  • Ensure testing on-time and within project schedule with regard to:
    • Test case design and notation adhering to pre-agreed frameworks, workflows and standards
    • Test case storage leverages standard tools of our client and repository management guidelines
    • Test data is designed and made available on-time and in line with required definitions
    • Test reporting leverages standard tools of our client and is intuitively to understand the readiness and robustness of the engineered product
    • Listing defects follows standard workflows and notations
  • Interface / dependency management (e.g. printer, device (OS version) framework) is embedded in the preparation and planning
  • Automation of routine work (e.g. test case design / execution) is embedded in the preparation and planning
  • Quality Assurance coordination and alignment across delivery areas (e.g. engineering, requirements, management, operations, product management)
  • Streamline traceability from requirement to (operational) acceptance during the product delivery lifecycle of the Windows 10 build product (e.g. frameworks, standards, processes, methods and tools)
