My client, a leading domestic retail bank, is looking for an Investment Funds Tax Manager to join their Investment Funds team on a long term rolling contract. The successful candidate will have strongTax management experience with OEICs and Investment Funds. As a significant part of the job will include reviewing Tax presentations and reviews with external clients, excellent communication and stakeholder experience will be of paramount importance.
Key accountabilities
Providing analytical support in the form of preparing and reviewing this annual LBG task. Provide accurate summaries of task given numerically and in written context. Tasks will involve dealing with external and internal stakeholders therefore ability to communication professionally and effectively to ensure required task is completed.
Candidate Requirements
- Must have in-depth knowledge of how the Regulated Funds market works
- An understanding of both UK and overseas tax implications at fund/investment level including tax considerations for scheme of reconstructions, mergers or closures
- Consideration of Investor level taxation
- Knowledge of specific requirements in relation to investments in non standard markets
- Awareness of Operational Tax industry developments in respect of Investment Managers
- Analytical with the ability to access large volumes of data and focus on key areas
- General understanding of the UK Tax legislation and SORP applicable to UK Authorised Investment Funds
