Core Accountabilities

Business Partnership and Client Management

The role holder will develop an in-depth understanding of the resourcing needs of the client area. They will work closely with the business and Lead Resource Partner (RP) to proactively develop a hiring plan that will meet the needs of the business objectives. The role holder will offer an unparalleled service to their clients to meet their complete resourcing requirements and will retain a fiduciary duty to ensure that the business make the right hire, using competency based criteria within competitive cost parameters.

The role holder will monitor and evaluate the effectiveness and validity of the resourcing strategies, processes and campaigns. They will build good professional relationships with HR colleagues; external vendors, hiring managers and other support areas, in order to build their profile, work on broader projects and improve wider HR learning. The role holder will develop strong networking skills within their business area.

Resourcing Solutions Methods

Direct Sourcing

The role holder will actively promote the Direct Recruitment proposition by promoting the benefits, cost savings and updated market information to support this. They will proactively source candidates via web and press advertising, employee referrals, internal and external networking, database, candidate portal on client website etc; will populate, develop and maintain a strong candidate pools and market maps in order to provide a high quality candidate supply chain; and will continue to develop innovative methods to attract top talent.

The role holder will contact and interview prospective candidates and retain audit trail of contact and interview notes. They will conduct competency based interviews and coach the hiring managers in interview best practice and closing skills and will keep abreast of market trends and legislative developments.

Manage External Recruitment Vendor Relationships

The role holder will liaise and engage with the relevant external partners to execute delivery where direct resourcing methods are not deemed appropriate. They will ensure that vendors operate within the parameters of the preferred supplier agreement and adhere to the service level requirements. The role holder will regularly organise briefing sessions both for the business and the external vendor, ensuring a complete understanding from both parties of the hiring needs and proposals.

The role holder will ensure that the appropriate vendors are signed up and working with Barclays, also ensuring that the commercial relationship is viable, and will provide adequate motivation without overpaying. They will ensure confidential information is shared on a need to know basis and that trusted partners are differentiated appropriately.

Management Reporting

The role holder will be responsible for providing value-added analytics on the resourcing stream, producing meaningful data on pipeline, costing and agency performance. They will analyse feedback on trends to adjust resourcing, attraction, assessment and selection strategies and will provide regular updates to the business on market trends and adjustments.

Candidate Management

The role holder will be responsible for screening direct applicants' CVs against live roles and will be able to assess an individual's capabilities to be able to decide where else within the business they maybe suited for. The role holder will ensure that job specifications are created to company standard and that quality is checked and assured. They will ensure that CV's are reviewed and processed in a timely manner, internal applicants and employee referrals are tracked and are contacted directly and will provide feedback and arranged interviews, as required. The role holder will know how to maintain momentum with the interview process and escalate decision, making to ensure candidates are processed efficiently.

Approvals and On Boarding

The role holder will oversee the approval process, ensuring finance, business management, senior management, Compensation and Benefits and HRBP's are linked in. They will oversee the contract generation and ensure wording is correct first time and is in accordance with legal protocols and will maintain candidate contact throughout resignation and notice period to ensure a smooth transition into the business.

Personal Development and Training

The role holder will be responsible for their training and awareness with regards to Graduate Recruitment; Embark Recruitment; Compensation and Benefits, including structure of vesting, CVP/SVP; interview training, where they will look into eLearning and attend competency training, when appropriate; and will ensure knowledge of employment law and competency based interviewing as a necessity.
