Civil Engineer - 12 month contract - £200 per day - Basingstoke - French & English Speaking
Work for a multinational communications company in Basingstoke as a Civil Engineer on a 12 month contract basis. It is essential that as well as being a qualified and experience Civil Engineer you are also fluent in English and French (both speaking and writing).
Requirements:
- Fluent in both written and spoke French is essential.
- Proven previous experience in Telecommunications industry (minimum 2-3 years)
- Light Civil Engineering experience (Towers, Shelters, Power Supply, remedial work. Not Bridge/Hospital or large scale works).
- Experience of energy solutions (UPS, generators)
- Proficient user of AutoCAD
- Ability to travel to the North African region on a monthly basis as required
Tasks:
- Analyse a brief along with customer requirements, liaise and collaborate with external contacts and 3rd party suppliers to provide solutions
- Manage costs to ensure project remains on budget
- Track the work progress of the project
- Production of necessary documentation - progress reports, correspondence with suppliers
- Awareness of and ability to work with specific site requirements - electrical, air conditioning
- The successful candidate would be working within a team environment but would be the sole owner of this area of work.
- They will therefore need to be self sufficient in terms of knowledge and expertise to advise other team members and be able to take the lead in the decision making process.
