The Role
Our SAP Logistics Consultants will be involved in the delivery of large end to end SAP implementations as well as significant Enhancements. Field consultants will also be expected to work supporting our existing customers whilst not on Project work.
Our SAP PM Consultants use their expertise and skills in SAP design, development, integration, testing and deployment to help our clients achieve their objectives and as a key member of the Logistics Team the SAP Logistics Consultant will ensure design and realisation of functional solutions are fit for purpose and delivered against stated business requirements.
Key Tasks of the SAP PM Consultant:
- Ability to perform the role of Logistics lead on large SAP Implementations including the facilitation of workshops and requirement gathering sessions.
- Ability to communicate effectively at all levels within the Customer and Edenhouse organisations
- Design and implement Best Practice SAP Logistics solutions appropriate to Customer requirements and standards
- Keep up to date with SAP capabilities within the SAP Logistics arena
- Delivery of complex solutions across a variety of different industry sectors
- Can prepare specifications, estimates and solution documentation to support work completed
- Develop familiarity with clients operations
- Fosters and maintain good relationships with customers and colleagues to meet expected customer service levels
- Is aware of commercial arrangements with a client and contributes to these as appropriate
- Contribute to the continuous improvement within the SAP Logistics Team
- Any other reasonable duty or request
Desired Skills and Experience of the SAP PM Consultant:
- At least 5 years' experience, including a minimum of 3 years full life-cycle SAP project implementations, with strong functional configuration and implementation experience of;
- PM: Technical Objects, Notifications, Order Processing, Notifications, Preventative Maintenance planning and Work Scheduling.
- Good technical understanding at the ABAP level - ability to Debug standard or bespoke code
- Good knowledge of Integration between the modules, including FI/CO
- Ability to plan and deliver Client-facing Workshops (eg. Blueprinting)
- Ability to write detailed Functional Specifications for bespoke developments
- Knowledge of EDI and IDoc functionality
- Data Migration Tools (CATT, LSMW)
- Ability and desire to coach, mentor or manage the other members of the project team
- Experience with any of the following modules would also be beneficial:
- PS: Project Planning, Simulation, WBS, Networks, Costing and Budgeting, Posing and Allocation of Costs, Confirmations, MRP
- PP: Discrete, Process, Repetitive Manufacturing, Material Requirements Planning, S&OP and Demand Management, Capacity Requirements Planning, Production Order Control, Assembly Processing
- LE: Deliveries, Shipment processing, Warehouse Management
- QM: Inspection Planning, Results processing, Certificate management, Notifications, Test Equipment management, Reporting, LIMS interfaces.
- WM: Warehouse Management
- MM: Inventory Management, Purchasing processes, Logistics Invoice Verification
- SD: Sales, Pricing, Billing, Credit Management, Foreign Trade, Logistics functions - Delivery / Shipment
