Manufacturing Engineer
A Manufacturing Engineer is required to work on a six month contract (with the possibility of extension) for our Defence client based in Preston.
This is a 6 month contract working for a leading UK defence company.
Overview of the Manufacturing Engineer contract role
An opportunity to join a growing capability supporting multiple Aircraft maintenance and upgrade contracts to provide Mechanical Manufacturing engineering mod embodiment engineering & to engineer the kit set contents including establishing the CoS (Condition of Supply). Knowledge of Mechanical installation on aircraft is required along with competence in the use of engineering toolsets such as HMScapp, DPDS & DMS.
Key responsibilities
1) Interpreting approved data and design data to produce manufacturing instructions, resolve non-conformances and continuously improve the assembly of the aircraft build, manufacturing and test programmes as required.
2) Assist in the timely delivery of major tasks and other delegated responsibilities that ensure the smooth running of the department.
3) Responsible to the Engineering Team Leader for the production and delivery to schedule, cost and quality of engineering work packages defining integrated modification upgrades and repairs.
The role is based in Preston, Lancashire - commutable from Blackpool, Lancaster, Morecambe, Chorley, Leyland, Blackburn, Darwen, Burnley, Skipton, Stockport, Manchester, Warrington, Wigan, Bolton, Bury, Rochdale and Oldham with excellent access from Liverpool and Leeds.
