Description

Qvidian PB Implementation Manager within Global Banking Products is a role based within Global Banking as part of the Global Banking Management Office. GB Management Office is implementing the Qvidian solution to streamline content usage and process of pitch material generation among Global Banking products. The process will start with the Debt Capital Markets team and roll out to Leverage Finance and other groups.

Qvidian Presentations Builder is designed to significantly reduce the time spent by analysts and associates in finding relevant materials and generating pitch presentations.

Current production of material relies heavily on personal interaction and usage of precedent materials, with much room for repetition and usage of out of date and potentially non-applicable content. In designing and developing high quality client solution documents tools, the role holder interacts with juniors in both the onshore and offshore teams to gain an understanding of client's business objectives and their needs of the pitch materials.

Once content needs and current generation process has been understood and a new workflow relying on Qvidian technology designed, the holder of the role will implement the initial rollout and expansion of the tool adoption among the various products. The content would encompass the entirety of the repeatable content and format used in current pitching and would include the processes around regular updating and relevance of the materials by content owners and providers.

The holder will organise in-person and remote training for the tool and its usage based on the training received from the vendor.

The role also involves interaction with the product team members for maintenance/updating/generation of the database. The job holder enjoys reasonable authority to take decisions for smoothly carrying out his/her routine day to day work with regard to the product content maintenance. However, approval of appropriate manager is required for taking decision on any policy/process change that has a greater impact on the business.

Qvidian Presentation Builder Implementation Manager is responsible for the timely effective rollout and proper adoption of the tool by the addressable universe. They will lead interaction with the vendor and with other parts of HSBC where this tool is utilised (PCM and GTRF). The Manager will interact with HOST IT on any issues related to implementation and continued use within the business.

The role involves distinct phases to the programme:

  • Understanding of content used and scoping out the implementation programme

  • Trial period for the tool in the smaller universe

  • Full rollout among Global Banking products juniors.

  • Potential further rollout to the entire Global Banking coverage junior universe.

  • Movement to the next stage of the programme is contingent on successfully completing the prior stage. There is potential for a long term/permanent role if the adoption of the tool is successful.

    Your responsibilities will include:

    • Understanding currently used content and setting up the process for Qvidian rollout

    • Global owner of Qvidian Presentations Builder within Global Banking

    • Design the architecture of content, distribute content updates, design a process for timely distribution, update and increase of covered content

    • Vendor Management - Administration of Qvidian system, including upgrades and capability expansion

    • Coordinating consistent content generation in the document standardisation objective

    • Regular meetings with management and users to update on progress

    • Responsible for best practice sharing across regions

    • Training of new users and administrators if any

    • Compliance related queries with regards to all sales materials

    • Capturing user feedback

    • Analysing senior stakeholder goals and managing accordingly

    • Consolidates and shares client feedback

    • Develop users' knowledge, management processes and tools

    • Responsible for encouraging best practice and knowledge sharing across regions

    • Drive wide tool adoption among users

    • Manage interactions between content creators, content holders, offshore team, administrators and IT

    • Provide coaching and impart knowledge to others

    • Influencing peers without authority across the Matrix by building trusting relationships

    • Coordinating a global community to share best practices, create clear line of sight for deployments

    • Establish and engage a network of information-professionals and product specialists around the Group to ensure information used in the documents is accurate and up-to-date

    • Build strong working relations with stakeholders to ensure a professional, coordinated and focused approach to the document generation process

    • Manages updates to global content

    • Manages Qvidian relationship

    • Maintain all control standards

    • Meet all regulatory requirements and audit points

    • Maintain existing tools and deliver improvements over time to improve processes

    • Maintain knowledge, awareness and development of best practice, Group policy, the business strategy and business requirements, and apply this to promote continuous improvement

    • Defining and tracking success measures/metrics Coordinating collaborative approach between IT & business

    Qualifications

    The ideal candidate for this role will have:

    • Basic understanding of investment banking processes and content

    • Past working experience in a relevant role involving some content management aspects

    • Knowledge of Qvidian, prior track record in content management are desirable but not essential

    • Experience working in relevant environment/s desirable but not essential

    • Role relevant qualifications, ieBachelors Degree is desirable but not essential

    • A track record of constantly looking for ways to do things better and an excellent understanding of the mechanism necessary to successfully implement change

    • Both spoken and written communication skills with experience of adapting your style and approach to the audience and message to be delivered

    • Ability to communicate with juniors and seniors with confidence and authority a must

    • Experience of creating and deploying comprehensive business/operating plans which consistently deliver desired results

    • Proven experience of successful project management, utilising relevant tools and techniques to ensure consistent delivery

    • Positive mindset, understanding how to navigate large but complex organisations
