Description

Sopra Steria Recruitment is working in partnership with a major public sector client in the UK. We are currently recruiting Communications Officer in Bristol for 6 months contract initially with possible extension. Please find the job details below

Description:

Job location is Bristol, with frequent travel to portfolio delivery locations, notably Swansea, Leeds, Nottingham and Newcastle.

Will be closely working with the director, facilitating quarterly cascades, round table meetings, quarterly corporate leadership days, facilitating and planning agencdas
Will be heavily involved organising the Away Day (an annual coporate event)
Will be working alongside senior colleagues, responsible for facilitating and rolling out comms across the directorates, providing comms on the Intranet, facilitating on blog
Candidates from a Change background would be considered seriously advantageous

Key tasks

The post holder works collaboratively to ensure communications and business engagement plans are managed, controlled and reported

Communications co-ordinate the development, publication and delivery of the communications plan. offer guidance to members to identify best communication channels for key messages
Produces draft communications for members of the directorate and external stakeholders that are appropriate for their intended audience.
Coordinate communication and Business Partnership related activities and events as required.
Ensure communication key deadlines are met and set objectives are achieved. draft and issue all staff emails, following the correct sign off procedures produce compelling, informative and relevant content for communications following the style guide and sign off procedures - this includes news stories, blog posts, static content, forms draft and produce monthly newsletter, following the style guide and sign off procedures offer guidance for the delivery of Directorate events monitors and drafts response to staff comments ensuring questions are answered and feedback cascaded appropriately develop communications forward planning grid attend regular internal communications planning meetings use digital tools, such as Trello, to deliver internal communications planning analyse internal communications activities by helping to produce surveys, support focus groups and gather ad hoc feedback work closely with internal stakeholders and customers to promote the benefits of good internal communication keep up to date with emerging trends in internal communications

Ensures Business Partners are appropriately briefed and prepared for any engagement with different business areas
Schedule, capture and co-ordinate Business Partner engagements
Develop and manage the Business Partner action plan and ensure that all engagement related actions are undertaken in a timely manner
