Description
Major Job Duties and Responsibilities:
- Modify existing databases and database management systems.
- Write and code logical and physical database descriptions and specify identifiers of database to management system or direct others in coding descriptions.
- Work as part of a project team to coordinate database development and determine project scope and limitations.
- Review project requests describing database user needs to estimate time and cost required to accomplish project. Perform other duties as assigned.
- PNC is seeking a resource to be a part of the Desktop Engineering team. Work in this role will be varied and include responsibilities around Operating System Deployment (SCCM/OSD) and Windows Group Policy.
- This individual will focus on the development, testing and certification of solutions for PNC's desktop environment.
Desirable Work Experience
- A wide range of Windows Desktop experience in an environment where scale matters.
- Have extensive experience engineering Microsoft Windows client operating systems (Windows 7 and Windows 10).
- Have extensive experience with Microsoft's Operating System Deployment methodology including, SCCM OSD, MDT & USMT.
Other Skills/Abilities:
- Proven experience in developing and executing on the product/project life cycle including selection, design, test, certify, implement, support and optimize.
- Strong background in many desktop technologies working for large, complex organizations.
- Experience with Windows Group Policy & Powershell are a plus.
- Excellent troubleshooting and problem solving skills
- The passion and ability to make a difference in projects of all sizes.
Desirable Technical Experience:
- Microsoft System Center - Operating System Deployment
- Microsoft Windows and Windows Group Policy, including Windows AGPM Server.
- Experience at scale with other desktop/endpoint technologies like anti-virus, security/encryption or Office 365 is a plus.
