Description
A Leading Financial Services Company are recruiting for an Actuary who has strong Prophet Modelling experience to manage the prophet Model on a rolling contract basis, based at their Bristol offices but with the option of working from home once or twice a week.
Day Rate: pd
Location- Modelling team are based in Bristol so will need to be on site three days a week
Responsibilities:
To develop complex Prophet models in line with company development process, maintaining their reliability to enable key management decisions to be made.
Design suitable modelling solutions that meet customer requirements and document to company and regulatory standards.
Liaising with Model Owners in order to schedule and prioritise developments ensuring that they and their customers' requirements are met.
To provide technical modelling advice to colleagues and customers to enable them to understand and meet their customer requirements.
To maintain an understanding of the modelling practices across the insurance industry, suggesting new methodologies where necessary, in order to ensure that our models are current and relevant.
Knowledge and Skills:
In depth knowledge of, and ability to apply, actuarial concepts and techniques.
2 - 3 years development experience of Prophet Modelling software
Ability to identify key or unexpected outputs and investigate issues.
Ability to follow an approved development process and documenting to regulatory requirements.
