Electrical Design Engineer - CREO2/PRO E, Armoured Vehicles, Large machinery
2 Electrical Design Engineers with Creo2/PRO E skills is required to work on a six month contract (WITH THE POSSIBILITY OF EXTENSION) for our Defence client based in Cumbria
This is an opportunity to work for us at our client site who design, develop and manufacture combat vehicles, ammunition, artillery systems, naval guns and missile launchers.
Overview of the Electrical Design Engineering contract roles
A vacancy has arisen for an professional Electrical/Electronics engineer with Electrical CAD skills to work within the Weapons design team on projects through all stages has arisen: from the initial concept; through the design and development stage; to the testing of one or more prototypes; and through to final manufacture and implementation of a new product or system.
Key skills required for the Electrical Design Engineering roles
- Electrical and electronic systems concept generation, based on internal and external customer requirements.
- Creating and reviewing specifications for sub-systems, working with colleagues to design digital & analogue electronics systems, including enclosures, internal wiring harnesses and cabling systems.
- Systematically improving the detailed design of a piece of electronic equipment;
- Integration of sub-systems into an evolving product design, including laboratory tests, shopfloor development testing and off site trials.
- Creating electrical schematics and electrical cabling drawings
- Creating electrical enclosure designs using Pro/ENGINEER (CREO2).
- Following defined design and development processes; including product safety regulations and requirements
