Infrastructure Automation Team Manager

A Automation Team Manager is required for our Global Financial Services client based in London on an initial 6 months contract. An Automation Team Manager is required to drive continual enhanced efficiencies across the global server build and delivery process. You must have a proven track record in planning, control and scheduling. Automation engineering has the expertise, knowledge and ability to design, create, develop and manage systems and processes. These systems should then work by themselves or require a minimum number of personnel to operate them. As such it is essential that you have a solid background and understanding in this technology area. You will also need to be well versed in standard troubleshooting techniques with a technical understanding of automation and associated products

Key Responsibilities included:

  • The definition of standards to configure and troubleshoot automation tool-sets
  • The development of technical solutions and new automation tools to help automate repeatable tasks
  • The production of comprehensive management reporting including assessment-based findings, outcomes and propositions for further automation enhancements
  • The proactive management of team workbook activities and associated collation of MI reporting
  • The on-going pursuit to drive out efficiencies and enhancements to current working models and team practises
  • Deliver all technology authorised by Head of DC Server Engineering

The Ideal candidate will have:

  • Experience and proven track record in product design and manufacturing coordination
  • Thorough understanding of the management processes required to run large multi-country IT installations
  • In-depth understanding of the technical product and platform usages within large Enterprise Services & Architecture departments
  • Strong leadership and management skills together with the ability to motivate staff from a variety of backgrounds
  • Analytical with the ability to understand and resolve complex problems
