I am looking to hire a Electrical Design Engineer for one of my Public Sector Client. Please read the below job Specification.
Description
- Responsible for the design and procurement of electrical systems.
- Initial specification development which involves bringing together information obtained from various different sources and disciplines.
- Conceptual and detailed design phases, tender and procurement.
- Involved in the full process, from preliminary scoping through to installation and commissioning, using a structured project management approach.
- Full life cycle.
- Electrical designs from concept and design through manufacture and operation.
- Production of documentation and drawings, Presentation of designs for peer review.
- The quality of the drawings range from ones where just tracing effort is required to only basic information supplied which needs to be checked and turned into a schematic.
- An initial estimate indicates that there is at least 3 to 6 months of work for the contractor. I would also like them to look at the existing drawings and archive obsolete drawings.
- The required tasks range from updating existing schematics with information from marked-up hard-copy drawings to putting together schematics from scratch using basic information provided via notes and sketches etc. There are also a number of drawings which need to be redrawn in AutoCAD from other formats such as .pdf files.
- The person will be responsible both for doing the CAD drawings themselves and for putting them onto the Meridian database.
