Electrical Design Engineer (Temporary) - 12 Months
£25 - £28 p/hr
The RZ Group is working closely with a global market leader within the Engineering Industry who is looking to recruit an experienced Electrical Design Engineer to join the company on a 12 month contract basis.
The purpose of this role is to prepare the design brief for electrical drafting, preparation of bills of material and to ensure high quality designs and drawings are produced to the applicable standards.
The key activities for this role will include:
- Development of control system specification
- Working with wider product team to agree interfaces
- Supervision and checking of drafting
- Specification of components
- Circuit protection design
- Organisation and supervision of third-party electrical safety assessments
- Organisation and supervision of prototype product fabrication
- Support of product test in the factory and on customer sites
- Delivery of quality and documentary information to allow the creation of Manuals, Spares lists, Bills of Materials and any other input required by customers(ie including internal customers, Operations, Purchasing etc.)
Experience, Skills & Education Required:
- Experience of CAD packages, in particular AutoCAD/AutoCAD Electrical would be an advantage.
- Minimum 3 years' experience in a relevant design role.
- It is essential that you are a team player, able to work closely with fellow engineers and colleagues from around the world.
- You will be qualified to minimum of HND or equivalent in electrical or electronic engineering, or a related discipline and have at least three years relevant experience.
- Previous experience of Product Data Management Software would be an advantage
