Internal Communications Manager
Rate: £negotiable/flexible
Location: Stoke-on-Trent, Staffordshire
Term: 3 months (Initially)
My nationwide, blue chip client is looking for an experienced and enthusiastic Communications Professional to join their expert team in Stoke-on-Trent.
Key responsibilities:
* Work with the newly acquired business teams to help them create strategic marketing and communications plans that will support the overall transition process
* Plan communications are deliver in line with business priorities
* Support ongoing corporate identity and brand activities
* Working closely with internal stakeholders to proactively anticipate, respond to and execute communication/engagement deliverables
* Partnering closely with the Communications Director as well as People Project leaders to ensure message alignment and execution excellence
* Support leadership teams to enable the change
* Developing a variety of communications, including key messages/Q&A, speeches and other scripts, decks, Intranet articles, video scripts, and other general communications as required
* Ensuring tasks are completed to a high quality, in a timely manner, and within budget
* Ensuring content aligns with company-wide vision, purpose, strategy, values, priorities, messaging, brand guidelines, programs, and initiatives
* Managing day-to-day execution of project communications strategy/plans/framework including managing timelines/budgets, developing materials and measuring success
Skills/Experience:
* Experience of working in a project environment with ever changing demands, timelines and deliverables
* Previous experience in integration of acquisitions
* Be comfortable dealing with challenging internal stakeholders
* Superb planning, strategy, copy-writing and oral communication skills and the ability to consistently deliver high quality materials and sound stakeholder communications advice, to tight deadlines, in a fast-paced, high-pressure, high-scrutiny environment
* Demonstrable experience in internal communications (gained in-agency or in-house)
* Experience of working in a complex Matrix environment
* Ability to hit the ground running - very quickly understand and become immersed in/knowledgeable of a complex and challenging project
* Excellent communication skills - written and verbal
* Must have tenacity, perseverance and a sound ability to work on own initiative
* Strong organisational skills
* Excellent attention to detail
The successful candidate could be currently working as: Communications Coordinator, Comms Manager, Engagement Manager, Communications & Engagement Manager or Comms Officer.
