The Opportunity
We have exciting opportunities for additional consultants to join our operational excellence team based across the UK and abroad.
These roles are contracting opportunities and we are looking at either existing contractors or individuals wanting to take their existing operational management experience into consulting for the first time.
We are looking for individuals who have a passion for wanting to help improve, identify efficiencies and make a positive difference to the performance of our client's businesses.
You will ideally be from an operational management background in a fast moving environment (financial services is helpful), be used to making things happen using a coaching approach and the ability to understand, analyse and interpret raw data.
You will have experience of implementing Change, and have the know how to keep moving forward and keeping people engaged in a changing environment whilst still maintaining a fast pace.
We are looking for Consultants to solve issues, create and embed value, maximise growth and improve clients business performance, by using your experience and business skills to provide objective advice and share expertise.
The Role
Our Consultants are primarily concerned with the strategy, structure, management and operations of an organisation. The phases of the role will be looking at management structure and systems initially, moving onto work measurement/management software implementation and training then following on with management practices and procedures, implementation and change.
You need the ability to be both hands on and also a facilitator or coach as the programme moves through its phases of delivery.

Typical work activities
The day-to-day activities are often complex and varied depending upon the client and type of project. You may work alone on some projects, while others will involve a large team and could be based in one location or across multiple sites.
- carrying out research and data collection to understand the organisation;
- conducting analysis, use of Excel/Visio
- interviewing the client's employees including the management team.
- Setting up and running/facilitating workshops;
- Side by side coaching on a 1-2-1 basis
- Implementing work measurement/management software and using this as a source of Management Information for reporting
- Process Mapping end to end activity
- Preparing business proposals and presentations
Risk and quality management
- Motivating teams and managers
- Challenging results in a constructive way
Skill Requirements
Operational management background (Team Manager/Customer Service Manager)
- Coaching and training skills
- Clear communication skills with the ability to influence at all levels
- Decisive
- Ability to work both within teams and on your own
- Excel, Visio and MS Project software expertise
- Work Measurement/Management systems knowledge and evidence of use ie versions and types used
- Flexibility of working/location
- Commercial and analytical skills
- Excellent time management skills to meet deadlines and targets
- Problem solver
- A can do attitude
