E-learning Content Designer - Central London - Government

Pay Rate: £356 per day

Contract Length: 7 months initially

Location: Inner London

Clearance: BPSS with Disclosure Scotland

Essential skills include:
- Experience of writing learning for an LMS system using SCORM compliant applications (we currently use GOMO but experience of this specific software is not essential)
- Strong understanding of how visual layout and messaging work together to deliver brand results
- Experience of scoping, writing, editing and publishing learning content
- Experience of delivering quality product on time, ie good planning and delivery skills

The Main Responsibilities of post are to -

  • work with our technical pension experts and the learning and development team to identify and agree how existing content can converted into learning for our guider population.
  • Write the E-learning packages and work with the training Co-ordinator to upload onto the LMS
  • Ensure that the E-learning meets the needs of a variety of learning styles
  • Analyse the learner response to the E-learning packages to improve and develop those programmes
  • Review and respond to feedback

You'll be:

  • Scoping, commissioning, writing, editing and publishing learning content for the Pension Wise Academy (LMS)
  • Making sure learner journeys are the best they can be
  • Managing relationships with subject matter experts to make sure content is accurate
  • Accountable for delivering E-learning content that is accurate, timely, high-quality (based on insight and outputs of learner feedback, relevant to audience, easily understood) and to the department's style
  • Accountable for the using the best that GOMO has to offer to ensure an enjoyable and impactful learner experience
  • Making sure appropriate policy and legal checking within other parts of government happens, and that content is published quickly and efficiently
  • Monitoring the impact of the learning content with the Learning and Development Manager and Product Manager (if applicable)
  • Identifying ways to improve the E-learning content and to iteratively improve the product
  • At ease working in an agile environment with rapidly changing deadlines, workloads and goals.
