Senior Engineer - Functional Safety, System Design Safety
An experienced Technical Safety Engineer is required for a contract in Glasgow
With experience in Product Safety Assessments, Requirements, and Mitigations
Managing hazards, risks and mitigations in line with Marine Systems Development
Supporting the Marine Systems Technical Authorities and System Integration Lead in planning, coordinating and conducting effective delivery of Product Safety Management
- Conduct Product Safety assessments on behalf of the Marine Systems Technical Authorities including but not limited to Fault Tree Analysis, FFA, FHA and HAZID;
- Ensure safety requirements/mitigations are appropriately scoped and captured within the relevant toolsets (DOORS and SMARTer);
- Produce Product Safety Justification Papers and/or System Design Safety Assessments;
- Work with the Core PS Team to organise and facilitate the Product Safety meetings and/or Safety Working Groups as required;
- Organise and facilitate HAZIDs and review meetings and contribute to other HAZIDs when required.
This is a long-term contract position, that would see you working on the Type 26 Programme in an innovative Global Defence organisation.
