PR Brand Consultant: World Leading Oil & Gas Co

A large multinational energy company is looking for a dynamic and competent PR professional, initially for a 6 month contract position.

About the Role:

The role is in a global communications team, which focuses on building a positive reputation to position the company's Lubricants brands and products to customers, trade influencers, consumers and other stakeholders in order to drive brand awareness, preference and business growth. The role supports communication about and leverage of the company's technology and motorsports partnerships.

Duties will be wide ranging and cover everything from developing engaging content for markets and ensuring materials are kept up to date through to providing PR counsel to business teams including marketing, technical, brand, commercial, in local markets and to global agencies on PR storytelling and strategy, media landscape developments and opportunities. Some travel (UK and overseas) may be necessary.

About You:

  • 3 to 8 years' experience, with a comprehensive and rounded PR skill set with proven expertise in media relations ideally in a B2B context
  • Good understanding of the marketing mix including brand strategy and the role of earned' media across multiple channels including digital, media partnerships, content strategies
  • Good understanding and expertise of working with vertical and specialist press including B2B/trade, consumer and digital influencers
  • Experience of working in a complex Matrix organisation, with global agencies and the ability to work with country PR and marketing teams to drive high impact activations is important.
  • Experience of working in a multi-brand/FMCG public relations role would be valuable
  • Self-starter with high degree of personal initiative, drive and desire to come up with effective creative solutions
  • Proven ability to deliver under time pressure with little supervision
  • You must have strong writing skills and be hands on with day to day delivery.
