Description

ERP Implementation specialist with strong financial systems experience required for a minimum 6 months contract based out of Cape Town.

Working with a leading ERP software vendor you will be supporting numerous customers working the implementation of additional modules of the system, including system configuration, data set-up, training & support.

Assist & support customers on day-to-day matters, including the provision of training, advice & assistance regarding accounting matters such as legal requirements, various reconciliations, correction of errors, etc. new implementations as well improving existing functionality.

You must have a strong knowledge of finance systems.

Duties will also include:

To assist clients to perform their financial functions with the utilisation of the system.

To give our clients accurate advice in respect of the utilisation of the system, in accordance with the MFMA & any other guidelines from National Treasury, SARS or any other relevant body.

To be able to configure the system to meet client requirements & regulatory guidelines.

To provide professional assessment & recommendation reports.

To engage successfully with the clients' staff on all levels, from top to bottom.

To take ownership of & to manage client assignments to completion.

To take ownership of and manage client sites allocated.

Required skills and experience:

Education: Finance Degree

Experience of full ERP implementation projects for new clients.

MUST have experience in one or more of the following (Municipality) ERP systems: e-Venus/Venus/SOLAR/SAMRAS

Must have billing experience - preferably in a Municipal/Public office environment

Must have experience in using a system to do accounting work

Proven consulting experience an advantage

Experience in training & coaching adult learners an advantage

Experience in system configuration an advantage

Experience in professional report writing an advantage

Must have billing knowledge - preferably in a Municipal/Public office environment

Knowledge of the MFMA, GRAP & any other guidelines from National Treasury, SARS or any other relevant body recommended.

Must be able to plan, organise and manage own work (will be travelling extensively to client sites across the country)

Must be able to do self-learning on the system following training/guidance

Customer relationship skills

Must have a positive attitude & be a self-starter

Must be a team-player

Must be Cape Town based and able to travel extensively (travel weekly around the country)
