I have an exciting new opportunity working for a leading Investment house. My client is looking for a strong Storage Engineer with 3PAR and EMC experience.
You will be involved in the following;
- Provide in-depth expert level technical support and consultancy relating to the companies Storage infrastructure portfolio (Primarily HP 3PAR).
- Responsible for maintaining the Storage Infrastructure.
- On project assignments you will work closely with other project teams, in developing new solutions based on business requirements.
- Working with the Architecture Team to design/evaluate technical solutions, this will include producing technical support documentation.
- Shape the core infrastructure, globally, in line with the growth ambitions of the firm
- Actively engage with Project Managers and the Architecture team to help steer and define best practice that enables on-going availability, maintenance, support and development.
Key skills:
- Mandatory - strong HP 3PAR Storage administration skills.
- Mandatory - strong SAN Fiber Chanel Fabric administration skills (preferably Cisco).
- Experience with EMC VNX storage platforms.
- Proven hands on experience of VMware products, ESX with Virtual Centre, vSAN and SRM.
- Proficient in Microsoft Infrastructure services.
- Sound understanding of Network, Internet Protocols
- Understand the importance of good working practices in the Data Centre.
