Description
Our client a Global Telecoms provider are currently looking for a Procurement Specialist to work on an initial 6 month contract.
You will be responsible for the development and execution of sourcing strategies to leverage relationships across the enterprise to achieve best total value. Includes Category management strategies and execution, supplier relationship management, negotiation, risk management and supply base performance management. You will also be overseeing the global cross functional teams through the supplier selection process and for the approval of selected suppliers by stakeholders. Executing supplier relationship management activities for key assigned suppliers within the assigned category's, with oversight regarding supplier relationship management.
The ideal candidate will have a proven background within a strategic sourcing role, working on a Global platform. Proficient in the use of SAP & Microsoft Suite applications (including PowerPoint, Excel and Word). Project Management skills in complex multi-project and multi-geography environment, Strong negotiation skills and cost management practices.
Bachelor's degree in a related field, Lean Six Sigma experience would be an advantage.
