Spatial Designer - Naval

A Spatial Designer with Naval Experience is required to work on a twelve month contract (with the possibility of extension) for our Defence client based in Cumbria.

This is a 12 month contract with a leading UK defence company.

Overview of the Spatial Designer contract role

As the Spatial Designer (Spatial Review) you will be required to undertake spatial assessments, including Identify potential non-compliances to standards, Propose potential solutions to non-compliances, Management of shock spatial non-compliance process as well as perform active reviews of the developing spatial design in support of design reviews and hold points.

Key skills required for the Spatial Designer

  • Proficient in the use of CAD/visualisation software.
  • Previous experience of spatial design on Naval or other large-scale Engineering projects.
  • Ability to work under own initiative and with other stakeholders in order to influence the design solution.
  • Knowledge of Naval systems/platforms is desirable.
  • Previous experience of special design on naval or other large scale engineering projects.

The role is based in Barrow in Furness, Cumbria - commutable from Carnforth, Milnthorpe, Lancaster, Morecambe, Penrith, Workington, Whitehaven and The Lake District
