Global Academy Managers - HR, Learning & Talent Development Contract role

  • The Global Academy Assistant Manager supports the Academy Manager to deliver the Learning and Talent Strategy. The role holder is responsible to define and deliver the Academy Learning strategy in alignment with both the Group learning strategy and the specific business/function strategy.
  • The Global Academy Assistant Manager supports the Academy Manager with screening and assessing of business needs to ensure development of capability across the client area
  • The Global Academy Assistant Manager supports the Academy Manager with business stakeholder consultation to ensure the proposed learning solutions are designed with relevance for the proper audience and are focused on the desired business impact
  • The Global Academy Assistant Manager supports learning agenda for the global business lines/functions ensuring content is designed in line with the HSBC learning channel strategy
  • The Global Academy Assistant Manager supports the evaluation and screening of business needs to ensure the development of performance driven, results oriented solutions
  • The Global Academy Assistant Manager supports the monitoring of progress in relation to the success of the learning strategy against key business KPI's

Key Accountabilities

  • Support the delivery of learning priorities efficiently, leveraging the global HR/Learning community and business champions
  • Support the Maintenance of Academies and sub-academies curricula up to date and in line with the Business strategy
  • Support the Academy business strategies by building organisational capability supported by role based curriculum
  • Support the provision, contribution and management of people risks related to the Academy
  • Provides appropriate reporting and MI analysis as instructed by the Academy Manager
  • Contributes to the broader Group Learning & Talent Development agenda and deliverables
  • Specialist Accountabilities
  • Communications
  • Plan, mobilise and direct communications of medium to high complexity and scale from definition to closure
  • Take ownership for the Intranet presence of Global Functions/Risk & Compliance Academies
  • Work closely with senior management to ensure communications alignment with the wider change portfolio and the Group Strategy, Values and Behaviours
  • MI/KM
  • Manage and oversee the provision of continuous awareness and reinforcement of Academy themes and topics.
  • Timely distribution of MI, KPIs and measures of success which provide insights on how effective Education solutions are impacting the business
  • Accountable for the build out of the Academy Knowledge Management
  • Design, development and maintenance of Academy MI
  • Responsible for the interpretation of quantitative and qualitative data as a result of the deployment of Academy Learning
  • Governance/Operations Manager
  • Resource planning & usage, processing/onboarding
  • AOP linkage between Global Functions/Academy and Group Learning & Talent Development
  • Maintaining management rhythm of Academy
  • Manage, track and report 'requirements' pipeline

Experience and knowledge required:

  • Project management knowledge and experience supporting interventions in a highly matrixed organisation
  • Experience of working and delivering at a global level
  • A good understanding of the financial services industry, the global market and particular challenges facing the industry from a HR perspective.
  • Exposure to the challenges of implementing a regulatory agenda within a business
  • Ability to support the translation of business strategy into learning solutions
