Why is a role in our Finance Transformation team the next step for you?

The Finance Transformation team are responsible for supporting the successful implementation of Financial Accounting as part of the full £500m Finance Transformation project for Worldpay. This project will deliver a new, replacement operating platform and fundamental re-design of supporting business processes, and this role plays a major part in ensuring this works from an accounting perspective.

This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in developing Worldpay's future capabilities.

How will you add value on a day to day basis?

This role will be responsible for financial data validation, reviewing the evidence from live data run through the new system to ensure that system-automated accounting and data-capture are working as intended. You will understand and document differences between the new and old financials, recommending actions to remediate or preparing management briefings to justify the variances.

You will also validate the data and calculations in around 40 new platform reports, ensuring it is fit for purpose and consistent with underlying systems of record. This will involve investigating, logging and following up issues.

A key part of this role will also be User Acceptance Testing where you will undertake end-to-end UAT of month and year end reporting, analysis and reconciliation processes. Investigate, log and follow up issues.

You will also validate the accounting integrity of the financials when merchants are migrated from the old to the new platform.

What will make you the ideal candidate?

The Finance Transformation Analyst needs to hit the ground running and therefore will have good experience of accounting within a project based role. You will have proven experience and solid understanding of double-entry book-keeping. You will demonstrate an ability to analyse data and follow audit trails.

You will be committed to delivering change and willing to undertake a wide range of tasks. This is a fast moving role that will require flexibility in approach to work and problem solving, and comfort in dealing with uncertainty

A key must-have for this role is to be able to communicate effectively and simply. You will be able to clearly explain findings and recommendations to accountants, developers and non-accountants.

To be successful in this role, you must have a high level of analytical skills, attention to detail and be able to prioritise and escalate issues appropriately.
