Overview
Our client is currently undertaking a significant change programme in order to provide a more efficient police service the meets the needs of people living, working and visiting Manchester. As part of this change programme they will be introducing modern technology that will be required to support core operational policing.
A project manager well versed in ITSM projects is required to procure and implement a new IT Service Management Tool that will support the operational IT processes and procedures necessary to manage incidents, service requests, problems and changes across the subsequent suite of IT products and services.
The ideal candidate will have:-
- Experience in the delivery of IT Service Management Tools
- Experience of tender processes and procurement in the public sector
- Knowledgeable of the leading ITSM suppliers and associated product sets
- Experience of implementing ITSM is desirable including business change and configuration.
- Exceptional influencing and negotiation skills
- Previous experience of managing 3rd party Vendors to design and deliver ITSM solutions/services in line with the strategic aims and standards of the organisation.
- Relevant Project management qualifications eg Prince II
