Description
Interim Engineering Lead/Engineering Design Lead required for leading government programme based in Central London.
PLEASE NOTE THIS ROLE WILL BE WORKING WITHIN A SECURITY CLEARED ENVIRONMENT SO CANDIDATES WILL EITHER HOLD CURRENT SC CLEARANCE OR BE ABLE TO UNDERGO PRIOR TO START.
The successful candidate will lead on a number of engineering infrastructure and associated workstreams under direction from the Deputy Director of Design and alongside the Architectural Lead.
You will manage a small team of Design Managers from a variety of professional backgrounds, who are responsible for delivering a diverse range of engineering design workstreams including:
Mechanical Public health engineering services,
Energy Centre design, energy efficiency, sustainability and the environment including BREEAM,
BIM,
Acoustic engineering
Specialist building physics and energy modelling
Electrical building services engineering, lift design controls, specialist lighting design, power networks design,
Public address systems, broadcasting telecommunications
ICT and Data Systems
Fire system design (including fire engineering)
Design for the protection against the effects of weapons and blasts, chemical, biological, radioactive and nuclear (CBRN) attacks
Electronic and physical security systems
The successful candidate will be required to help coordinate the various user groups relevant to each design workstream in the programme, working with a wide range of internal stakeholders and external consultants. You will ensure the effective briefing and management of consultants to drive value for money, consistent quality and timely delivery of various workstreams, working with colleagues on overlapping areas and ensuring a clear strategy is in place and understood for each engineering design element.
