Purpose of role

The role holder will provide both project management and business analysis services for the EIS Technology business area for the Foreign Account Tax Compliance Act (FATCA) and Common Reporting Standards (CRS) programme which cover all of the business.

The role will include, but not be limited to:

  • Providing status reports

The primary focal areas will be CRS FATCA and External Reporting elements of the Programme. The role will face directly the Business, Tax Operations, Group Tax as well as to technology delivery teams.

Core accountabilities

Technology/Business Relationship: Liaise with Business (product specialists, asset managers, investment managers, etc) and IT teams to define and document high level and detailed functional and non functional requirements/specifications for implementations relating to the CRS FATCA and External Reporting elements of the FATCA programme. Undertake investigations of Business & Operational processes, functions and data, and understand overall integrity across a range of IT systems. Identify and manage requirements change, and its global implications and manage traceability of requirements. Conduct functional impact analysis in the event of changes to business objectives, requirements and/or technical architectures/platforms. Identify & specify as necessary as is and to be business processes, business systems and associated data dependencies. Ensuring technology deliveries are in line with business requirements. This requires a detailed understanding of the business areas involved in the project and the role holder must be able to translate business requirements into technology solutions and vice versa.

SDLC: Support the technology and business teams involved in a project through the full SDLC. This includes ensuring initial analysis is accurate, assisting development and test teams with queries. Support the business through UAT phases by being responsible for answering questions about system functionality and ensuring business and regulatory requirements are met by the system.

Key clients (internal and external)

Technology - FATCA Programme/Project Managers, Technical Delivery Teams

Business - Product Business sponsors and representatives for the assigned projects. Product Business covers investment management, asset management, investment advisors, product specialists, performance, distribution and due diligence.

Role requirements

Professional/technical experience

The right candidate will have excellent and recent experience of working on large complex regulatory IT programmes. In particular the following must be evident: requirements gathering including business process modelling, analysis and functional design, writing business & technical documentation, system/data analysis and data interrogation. The role holder will be able to identify, attempt to rectify and appropriately escalate issues and risks whilst having an analytical and methodical approach to problem solving, with attention to detail at all times. The role holder must be able to speak coherently and commercially to the business. The ideal candidate would have experience of the Wealth Management industry, a good knowledge of FATCA and experience working with operations and compliance functions, on boarding and books and records systems.

Managerial experience

Experience of working in a Matrix management environment liaising with business and technology teams in multiple locations.

Academic and professional qualifications

The candidate will be preferably educated to degree level or above, preferably in an IT related discipline.

Language skills

The role holder will have an excellent command of English language with strong written and verbal communications to deliver against our commitment to providing a world class service and drive our dedication to the client experience.
