Description
Senior Technical Author required to fulfil the various Technical Publication authoring and editing skill sets.
Typical responsibilities will include:
General conduct of the Technical Publications programme, and provision of guidance and support to Industry.
Provision of Supportability Data for development and production of deliverables for the programme (eg Illustrations and Data Modules).
Production of Progress Reports for the Tech. Pubs Manager.
Attendance and participation at the Technical Publication Working Group Meetings.
Analysis of OEM ILS deliverables, including Data Modules, LSA data and LSAR exports.
Validation of the Data Modules produced by the Subcontractors.
The successful candidate will have experience of the following.
A thorough knowledge of:
Def Stan 00-60.
ASD S1000D.
ILOG environment (EAGLE/Provisioning Manager/CSDB for S1000D).
PTC Arbortext Editor.
Simplified Technical English (STE).
An understanding of ASD S2000M (including the NATO Codification process).
A working knowledge of the Aspect.cs IP software package.
An understanding of current MoD (Tri-service) maintenance strategies.
Must be computer literate with a working knowledge of MS Office.
Candidates must be willing to undergo the security vetting procedure.
