Role: Middle Office Analyst

Location: Edinburgh, Scotland

Duration: 6 - 9 months

Type: Contract

Salary: DOE

Role Purpose:

This is a key operational relationship role within HSS managing our Counterparty and Custodian relationships on behalf of our clients to ensure that we are delivering our Fund Service business in line with agreed Service Levels. The role holder will be responsible for maintaining the operational relationship with the Counterparties ensuring satisfaction and performance standards are being maintained on a daily basis.

Accountabilities:

Regular Service Review Meetings with Custodians and Brokers. Measurement of operational performance and service evaluation. Counterparty Management pro-actively manages the relationships with client's counterparties (mainly custodians and brokers) on the operational side of the business. Expected operational service levels are clearly laid out and counterparties are monitored against these standards.

Collation of MI - the collation of MI is required to attend the various broker and custodian meetings, and also is required to be used in the completion of the various surveys and evaluations of the brokers and custodians.

Review MI - analyse and review all MI with a view to improving and streamlining processes across all teams within Settlements.

Knowledge & Experience/Qualifications:

  • Detailed knowledge of Investment Administration (Middle Office)
  • Ability to build and maintain relationships with colleagues and clients at senior management level
  • Ability to communicate effectively at all levels in writing, verbally and in presentations
  • Ability to plan and organise workload to meet client deadlines, taking into account relative priorities
