Description
A Senior Procurement Officer is required to work in a large team to deliver a significant and time critical public sector procurement exercise. The candidate will be responsible for ensuring that activities undertaken comply with the Public Contracts Regulations 2015 and the client's documented end-to-end procurement process. The contract will be for an initial 6 months with a high profile public sector client based in Coventry.
The following are essential:
*Hold at least the Advanced Diploma in Procurement and Supply (CIPS Level 5)
*Extensive experience in a procurement role
*Have experience of public sector procurement including publishing OJEU notices and tender information on Contracts Finder
*Have current knowledge of Public Contracts Regulations 2015
*Experience of delegating tasks/activities
*Have experience of working with E-procurement tools such as Bravo
The Senior Procurement Officer will be expected to:
*Prepare procurement documentation such as Read Me First Instruction Documents
*Publish OJEU notices and tender information on Contracts Finder
*Develop evaluation training materials and work with the procurement manager to co-ordinate evaluator training
*Be well organised
*Be proficient in the use of Excel, Word and PowerPoint
*Have experience of working with cross-functional teams
*Convey detailed advice and information
*Be accountable for the performance of operational tasks relating to the procurement
*Hold sound analytical skills and good judgement to inform their decisions or when providing opinions
*Have good interpersonal skills
*Ensure that robust records are kept of each procurement project and that the appropriate audit trails are in place
