A fantastic and well establish organisation are seeking an Emerging Trends Manager to join a very successful and exciting social media team. Through the use of editorial and campaigns the successful candidate will be highlighting and connecting with the voices of people within the community.

The primary focus of the role will be to surface emerging trends particularly around people, where you will identify members of the community who are using the social media site in different and creative ways.

The main characteristics for the ideal candidate will be the ability to adapt to people, working successfully within multiple teams and have been in a previous role that allowed them to be close to the youth culture and have experience analysing their behaviour.

Responsibilities:

  • Identify people and other members of the community who are using the social media site in different, surprising or creative ways.
  • Being able to analyse and understand emerging trends, particularly among younger users and youth culture.
  • Develop a strategy on emerging trends based on the analysis of trends and behaviours on the platform.
  • Adapt to changes and trends as they come on the platform, being able to pivot to new trends and objectives.
  • Work closely to design and launch relevant campaigns.
  • Proactively highlight surprising trends, people and other accounts using the social media site in unique or surprising ways.
  • Potential to act as a spokesperson on emerging trends with relevant media.
  • Work with colleagues with similar positions across the world.
  • Facilitate events for communities around emerging trends and for people.
  • Ability to set, track and organise metrics relevant to this area.

Skills:

  • Experience working with emerging trends in social media, particularly in teen media or initiatives.
  • Fluency in English to professional standards. Additional European language, a plus.
  • Great understanding of different ways people use social media
  • A demonstrable ability to formulate strategy and keep track of metrics and goals.
  • Ability to work with different teams and being able to pivot as necessary, according to goals and objectives.
  • BA Graduate
