Description

The Liverpool Mutual Homes Group is currently recruiting for a Communications Officer for a fixed term period of 12 months. As the Communications Officer, you will play a pivotal role in how the LMH Group communicates with its target audience. You will be responsible for developing and delivering communications plans that support the business plan and raise LMH Groups profile with customers and stakeholders. You will advise internal clients on messages and approach and use your creative flair to develop successful campaigns and other communications.

You will have experience in both internal and external communications using a range of channels and techniques and be able to identify the best way to engage target audiences.

You will manage communication programmes from concept through to delivery and evaluation, ensuring the Groups reputation and brand is enhanced.

Working as part of a small multi-skilled team you will work across channels and audiences:

To project plan and deliver internal and external communication plans especially for customers, Group Members and staff.
Developing positive relationships with the local media and industry press.
Advising colleagues on all aspects of communication as part of a joined up strategic corporate communications strategy including marketing, website, and social media etc.
Using strong writing skills to consider various different audiences and communications channels and adapting writing style to suit.
Working with colleagues to develop clear messages and objectives to support the business plan.
Advising colleagues on appropriate use of the corporate identity.
Producing publications and newsletters and briefing designers and other creatives. To develop means of feedback, monitoring and evaluation.
To manage communications and marketing projects from inception to completion, including website, film and print.
Developing, implementing and monitoring effective marketing campaigns, using traditional and social media.

You will have excellent editing and copywriting skills across print, digital and social media along with strong experience of dealing with local media and industry press.

You will have experience of developing and implementing successful communications plans and marketing campaigns using multiple channels. You will have excellent interpersonal skills and experience in advising colleagues on how to communicate effectively with target audiences. You must be technically savvy with experience of using web content management systems, social media tools and Microsoft Office. Experience of Adobe Creative Suite is desirable. You must be organised and able to work on own initiative to prioritise competing deadlines.
