Description
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Communications Assistant to work within Central Government on a contract basis. This position is based in London, initially until April 2017 offering up to £200 per day Ltd.
Main Duties
- Designing, proof reading and formatting the Departments publications, including client leaflets, staff newsletters, posters and infographics
- Delivering standalone communications campaigns to support cross-government and wider activity, eg Diversity Week, People Survey
- Advising GLD on branding and style guidelines
- Maintaining and updating the GLD web pages and LinkedIn page, supporting the maintenance and updating of the AGO web pages
- Supporting GLDs internal communications delivery, including weekly internal staff newsletter and the Intranet
- Supporting HMCPSI stakeholder communications activities
- Using digital tools including video to create engaging content to support communication campaigns
- Occasional support for press office (based at AGO) to cover staff absences
- The successful candidate will be solely overseeing the design work within a team of 5 members.
- They will need to be able to juggle multiple workloads as they are primarily responsible for taking Requests from various department
- Candidate needs to be creative and able to produce high quality design work
- Government experience is beneficial but not necessary
Essential Experience:
Design Softwares particularly - Adobe Indesign
Adobe Photoshop
Desirable Experience:
Adobe Illustrator
Use of SLR camera for filming and photographs
Knowledge of video editing programmes
