Job Title: Electronics Technician
Location: Tempe, AZ
Duration: 12 months (Possibility for Extension)
Shift: 3rd
Additional Shift Details: 2nd if needed
Description:
- Electrical Technician needed to Support testing of high reliability electronic assemblies.
- Support testing in our electrical lab during the 3rd shift. If there is no need for test support, this technician can temporarily work the 2nd shift. This is a Full time contract position.
Responsibilities:
- Must be able to work independently.
- Set-up and perform testing on electrical assemblies following Client's strict procedures.
- Work with the quality assurance department to insure compliance with AS9100 standards.
- Design, build and maintain electrical test systems with documentation in compliance with the Client configuration management system.
- Create test procedures that demonstrate compliance to the client product specifications. This involves working with the product engineering team and the quality assurance department.
- Maintain and update test software (Perl and/or LabVIEW).
- Creative thinking to troubleshoot complex electrical assemblies.
Qualifications:
- Degree in Electrical and Computer Technology.
- Good understanding of electrical circuit functionality.
- Good understanding of how to use electrical test equipment.
- Good understanding of basic software design. LabVIEW design is a plus.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in an electrical testing environment.
- Good communication skills including the ability to write technical documents.
- Circuit design including the use of schematic capture tools.
- Ability to perform soldering.
- Ability to perform cable assembly.
Education:
- Degree in Electrical and Computer Technology.
